Thanks for all the replys about the wheels.
I picked up the wheels this morning. They were fully refurbed and are now like new.
It cost £377 to get 4 wheels sprayed and dimond cut.

Needs lowering a touch now, but the wheels are spot on.

Does anyone else think it needs lowering a bit more ? I think its just right. My other car was 60mm all round and that was a little too low.

Well, I think deep dish wheels don't really work if you have a gap in the arch.
You don't need to deck the thing, but it would look alot better if there was no gap between tyre and arch.
That said, it looks like yours had a gap with the 17's on, and you don't need to lower much to rid the gap with 17's, so i'd say yours isn't lowered much...15mm perhaps.
The gap will make the wheels look smaller than they actually are.

I think E30s look the best 60mmm front and 40mm rear. They sit level and the larger front archs sit the same as the rears in my opinion. (for what its worth). Love these wheels are they available in 7.5j instead of 9". Love the wide ones but too much for what i want. Cheers mate

My car has got a Bilstein streetline 40mm suspension kit. If I get the car much lower im sure the wheels will rub with people in the back, drifting or thinking about doing a few sprint days.

I have got some 60mm front springs so I might try them. Also the car has a 2.5 and I,m about to fit my cosworth engine so the front will need lowering as its a 4 pot.

The tyres are 205 40 16. I want to be able to have people in the back if I want to . Maybe I will get some coilovers or get custom arches made. The thing is it is going to be running about 370-380 bhp so the rear will squat a lot with that power.
