I had the thing up to 6000 yesterday, but im told the limit should be 5500.
Whats going on?

I guess the limit is where the red line is unless you have a chip that raises it.
Theres no point reving the M40 to 6K as i find it dies off a little at 5800 so best shift around that point

I think it's some think like 6340 on a standard chip
E46 M3 CSL but dreaming of another E30.

Think the limiter cuts in at about 6250rpm mate. Wait till its warm then stamp it in neutral till it goes 'gatgatgatgatgat' (Note:- Do not do this often or your car may blow up.....)
