Roderz, managed to get it all bolted up yesterday ,with the help of Dave318 and his work ramps.Rodderz wrote:Surely 1 of these places that make up these Micky Mouse ish (custom?) exhausts would fit it up to fit your existing exhaust? Which is what by the way?
the centre box to halfway towards the rear it,s a bmw system, but just in front of the back box, the pipes have been cut and welded to what appears to be the pipes to a 320i backbox.
Thus preventing the manifold itself from mating up properly.

Sorted, at last. Have,nt driven it yet as i,ve left it all jacked up ready for an oil
change tomorrow, hopefully. Have to say though, for the short time i ran the engine, the sound is addictive. Will post a sound vid after the oil change.

Had a lucky escape though. Drained and changed the oil. Went for a very short spin to try it out. Pulled the bonnet cable to dip the oil, and spotted the oil filler cap resting in the battery tray.

ive done the same, drove to work and by the time i got there the engine sounded like a bag of bolts and all the oil was soaked into the underbonnet soundproofing and dripping all over the engine.
no damage done though.

Don,t know if you can tell from the clip, but i seem to have a slight air leak from somewhere.
