I have always loved the look of headlight wipers on the E30.

How difficult is it to install them on a car that doesn't have them?
(318is)

Did they only come on the 325i? Were they an option or part of the standard spec?

Cheers guys. 8)

I have a full working setup available at the market price :)

They're not too hard to retrofit, the only bit which can be tricky is threading the additional hosing up through the bonnet, but it's not that bad.

I had the motors in my 320ise but a previous owner cut the wipers off!

I think they were an optional extra.

They were available on all models from the beginning. Some, like the SE versions, did have them as std.

+1. i think they look smart and fitted them (the wipers and motors only) to my iS but tbh i always thought hlww were a bit of a gimmick really and only for people who couldn't be bothered to wash their car more frequently than monthly winkeye

When my car was newer I used to have them working and they were very useful for night time, so the lamps were clean because std E30 lamps were not the best.

When the relay went the price of a new one was over £70 so I stuck in a std relay and that means the HLWW don't work but everything else does.
