hi to all just joined so be gentle with me lol,bought a e30 convertabile in august fooled around for a bit and now its off the road for some upgrades and stuff,my main question is this.its currently sittin with a 320i engine in it but have just bought a doner car which has a 325i engine in it so im gona change it as the current engine is out for engine bay respray and really wanna know if there is anything i need to change to do this transplant any help would be grateful many thanks

if you have the donor car you have nothing to worry about as the 325i engine is virtually the same set up,
off the donor you will need
engine,
gearbox (or you could use the 320i box with closer ratios)
loom
ecu
diff
exhaust
there may be a couple of other bits,i think the gear linkage is diferent and prop
you may want to take the suspension from the 325i too as its more up to the job
all of this swap is plug and play
If possible,do not get rid of the donor car until your swap is complete because theres always somthing you missed.
if you get stuck just put a post up and it will get answered

Car is a cab, so it's already got the decent suspension.
Consider changing the sump gasket on your engine before fitting it. If it's original, it will be on the point of failing, and is difficult to change with the engine in a car.

As brian said its an idea to change the sump gasket!
