Im so pissed off. :-x :-x :-x :-x The car looks messed up without it! I know its not expensive to replace but thats not the point!

I just wish I could have caught them doing it!!!!

i heard some shouting and bangs the other night, so got out of bed and looked out of my window to see some little git kick the driver's mirror on my E36. like an idiot, i shouted "oi!" (doh! early warning adi :hammer: ), threw some clothes on and went legging it outdoors. of course, they'd scarpered. i grabbed my car keys, jumped in the bm and drove after them. i had a puncture! :cheese: they'd long gone. on the way back to my front door i noticed my daughter's n/s mirror had been kicked off too. little sh1ts!

if you get stuck jay, give me a shout mate

The worst theivin I ever came across....

My old man used to work in Cammel Lairds as an aprentice ship-wright. He built up quite a collection of joinery tools that he kept in a wooden tool box which he made himself. The whole lot was not worth very much, but to him clearly of great sentimental value. Some theivin scouse coont nicked the lot from his garage. Horrible seein a hard workin man like my old boy reduced to tears like that.

Jay07 u have my sympathy. There's just no need for that sort of shite. :x

my old man had his van broke into a few years ago ( hes a plant mechanic ) the van had been in the workshop at his work. they had used a car in the yard to ram the door to get in. my old mans tools were nicked which hed built up over his working career there had been a lot of big stuff due to the nature of his work he put a value of over 15k on the tools that went missing his gaffer refused to let him claim on the tools saying that they shouldn't have been left in the van!!! thing that gets us is my dad normally took the van home with him at night but it had been left that night due to getting sign written.. if the van had been in my dads drive his house insurance would have covered him but they refused as it was left away that night!!! :x

Nice one ladz! - Bought a replacement yesterday for £11.00 by chance, i was passing a shop in Brixton pulled up and they had one in stock. That took the edge of it has i had checked the stealers and they were charging £29.99 plus i would have had to drive out to one that had it in stock... and it was cheaper that what i found on the net. All in all could have been a lot worse, like some of the stories on here!!. - Its disconcerting knowing that the car is a target. Its the newest car I've owned!... Does my head in!!!...

Worryingly i think this is becoming a common problem as ive noticed alot of BMW's in Plymouth with just one grill missing..more than just to be a coincidence. I wonder if its the new "in" thing to do..i can understand VW badges going were walkies in the late eighties when some lame rap group made it fashionable..but grills???
Ive got also got an e36 328i sport and in 3 years have had 2 sets of bump strips go missing and a bonnet badge..it now stays in the garage out of the way!

I wish i had a garage!! - I just keep my fingers crossed each morning i go out... I dont think its the in thing like the badges , i simply think its cheap to$$ers who are not going to fork out for the lifestyle that they are aspiring to that comes with owning a more expensive car. I was listening to this guy talking the other day saying that he stole grills and other bits from other cars because he didn't know where to buy them from as the local scrapper never had them :-x !!! This is the mentality were dealing with!! :banghead: ... Anyway enough of the rant! Im just pi$$ed as some guy (cabby) nearly slammed into me just now - he pulled out, didnt stop at the give way and didn't even look - Its the fact that my 2 year old nephew was in the car with me that drives me insane... anyway... he's home safe now!!
