Are these good discs to have, they are grooved in a soft star shape and are vented.
And does anyone know how much they should retail at??

ECP sell Ate discs as OEM. I have a set but they are not grooved. No problems.

I would go with original or tarox or black diamond.

I had good results with G88 Tarox and Hawk HP+ pads, but just depends what you require from your brakes?

Thats cheaper than my Brembo plain discs from GSF, ATE should be ok though (I think thats who make the brake calipers for BMW) and the green pads are good, but with the extra power/weight i might be tempted to try red's, see how they stand upto your needs

decent brakes Rav i have a set on mine and it stops fine, im also about to buy another pair as they are great value for money! ECP sell them for £30 each i believe. iv not used them with EBC greenstuff pads but im thinking along the same lines as you are!

I'm getting some too, will warn you though I did have a set before and one warped really easily. Posted up at the time and I was not the only one.

Having said that I'm still going to give them a go again as I had heard they were well rated especially for the price.

Will see how it goes. :P

ate powerdiscs and pads are sh1te if you have decent power.theyre not upto the hard use i gave them and quickly binned them in favour of the EBC discs and pads that do handle the abuse.

I wouldn't recommend GreenStuff pads!! I use them (with Black Diamond discs though) and I don't rate them- take too long to warm up and shocking from cold. I hear Reds are ok though...

Yeah that's what I heard also. My Greens take an age to warm up and they are pitiful until warmed up. They do have a long life though and dust is minimal and not very aggressive to the wheel. What are Reds like in comparison Fuzzy?

red ceramics bite well intantly from cold and just keep biting the hotter they get. ive not managed to fade them yet.the dust isnt something i take note of though.i used 2 sets of red ceramics in a year on my touring with one set of greens on the rear in the same time and if youve read some of my old posts youll know how hard i drive mine :D

But thanks for the Red advice, getting close to replacement time and haven't decided which to go for...
