Thanks Malcolm, I reckon the pipes on my PAS system should reach to behind the n/s headlight.

The fan is all wired up save for I need to change the end connector on the loom to match the thermo switch on the side of the M42 rad. I cheated and got dan to make me up the loom for the fan so that it goes to the fusebox and has relays etc etc.

Ok just been out in the dark to take pictures, it's surprisingly awkward and impossible to actually see the bracket but they do show the location pretty well. The bracket is a direct fit.

I stuffed the camera down in the bay to take a shot!

A picture that doesn't show the resevoir! :o:

Fills easily with a Halfords thing because it has a "stretchy" bit on the end of the bottle. It is actually easier to acess than it looks :)

Belive it or not that filter is rated for 250 Horses or 3 litres!!!

Bob - the flat spot goes away when the car is warm, it goes like a rocket once it has warmed up so it's not the filter :? :?

I get enough grief about oil stains, that's one of the reasons for plonking my PAS tank up top.As I said earlier,I can see no reason why it cannot go on the o/s turret. I welded my bracket in with the engine bay empty, thinking 'loads a room for a proper air filter...' and the sodding PAS is just where the filter should go!My initial plan was to build an air box out of light alloy to take a K and N panel filter that I just happen to have squirrelled away.Hence the cone thing.

She put a ruddy great dent in the back of it the other week. Apparently it wasn't her fault - why not i'm still not sure! :x

She drove my BM the other night and to be honest I was more scared than when Bob_S took me down some twisties in the wet at about 140! 8O

swan vesta is very tempting. However I don't think it would go down too well if I came home and greeted her with ”ahi honey I’m home ”“ and by the way I torched your car for you today”a! :D All the parts are on order and should be with me tomorrow ”“ think it’s going to be an all nighter on Thursday!

Bob did you have any luck with your jack or do I need to bring mine up to York? Mine is a bit small TBH but does the job nonetheless!
