I have an E30 2 door 325i.
Just ordered a set of Team dynamics pro race 1.2 matt black 7 X 15, they were comming with 205 X 50 Toyo 888's but they have run out of 205 X 50 888's and have offered me 215 X 50.

As I have a track day on friday I have gone for this, but it does not seem to be a standard size that most of you guys use? Will I encounter any problems?
thanks again..
what size 888's?

215 normally is considering a bit wide for a 7j rim, I think its more suited to 7.5/8j.
PBMW run 195/50 but they have less power than you. Theo used to run 205 50 on a 335i I think and as stated its probably the best bet, not that, that helps you. Can you not buy the wheels seperatly and phone camskill for the tyres?

do you think the 215's will rub against anything? If not and the people at team dynamics think the rims will hold them I might as well give them a go?
I have an old set of tyres and rims, would you put these on to go on the road and save the 888's for the track, or do they not wear much with road use?
To be honest, I booked the first track day with not enough time to get everything sorted on the car. But I did order the tyres and wheels a week ago or so.
But can't wait, to get out and see how all the new bits work.

Hopefully not as its only 10mm wider, but you arn't going to know until they turn up. Other thing is that as they are slightly 'oversize' it may take slightly longer to warm them up. I'd drive with them on to the track, just to get them scrubbed in slightly. It won't cause any noticeable wear, just don't get a puncture!
I'm probably over worrying you really, and unless you are Lewis Hamilton, you probably won't notice the difference. It is the first time I have heard of a 215 r888 on a 7j tyre, normally people drop to 195 as they are so much more grippy than a road going 205.

What offset are your wheels? If you've got coilovers they will rub on them and you'll need spacers.
Mine only just clear the bottom of the adjusters with some ground control topmounts and thats with 205's. Fag paper stuff when you allow for side flex!
