Sorry about the cheesy subject line. I need to fit a new downpipe to my 320i convertible but I'm also considering replacing the whole system as the back box is pants (a Kwik-Fit special :? ) and the centre section is looking pretty rusty.

Anyone got any advice?

I'm not looking to do a major sports upgrade and don't have loads of cash to throw at it. A twin pipe all thru would be nice, as would stainless and a deeper growl but these are secondary to just having a decent pipe fitted. (1988 btw, fitted with single pipe backbox, twin pipe from downpipe to centre silencer)

I would put a 2.5 system on the car. Better sound and bit more power
