Hi all,
Am fairly sure that this will be a re-thread, but I can't use the search thingy.

I have a 327 fully race prep'd car with 288 shrik cams etc. It's currently giving 215bhp..
Will putting a 24v head on it give me more power. Will it lose torque?

Any advice on increasing the power would be useful

Cheers all.

24valvle head won't work for a start the water channels don't match up. unless its one of the racing dynamics 24 valve heads and good luck finding one of those.

RD made 7 of these heads but the S14 killed it off. Don't think they where publicly sold but whats the point when you can Cam an M50 up instead?!

You failed to mention a normal 24valvea head won't work, and the only ones ever produced were made by RD which in face are not just rare they are ultra rare, I only know the wherabouts of 1 out of a possible 3 or 5. Or maybe 7 as above.

Racing Dynamics stuff was always sold in limited numbers I'm lucky enough to own some very rare stuff.

2.8/2.9/3.0/3.1 all possible, but not cheap. 215bhp is a good figure for a 2.8!

Fully race prep'd, a 2.7 with a 288 cam and only 215bhp?! I'd be disappointed..
