Just wondering what people have done once they have removed the AFM on an M20 really

Big pipe with a cone on the end? Stock airbox with a pipe section.

S14 Airbox?

What did people do then?

replace with nothing and use MAP or AlphaN/TPS or replace it with a MAF sensor. The advantage is better response and performance especially on modified engines.

Miller MAF.

Uses the stock airbox and their own chip.

On a M20 I´d go for a 1bar absolute MAP sensor for the load.

Should be REALLY easy.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

Excuse the dirt and crap, i have been doing some rerouting of hoses for the ICV and things are still messy. I am looking to get one of:

http://www.automac.co.uk/product/TB2383

You can see a plastic block that i bolted the aluminium flange from M30 onto, it is that thick so i could put a shape bellmouth so air going from the airbox into the silicon hoses has a nice transition rather than a sharp edge which would create turbulence. Its all sealed up with that nasty sikaflex stuff.
