All probaly basic stuff for some people but this was my first time doing any sort of work other than servicing a engine.

Lovely car. I'd draw the line at lining the dash with Hartge-wood. Don't think it'd sit right in there. Fantastic effort!

I also agree. Body kits don't suit pre facelift cabs. I don't think cabs look right on a facelift either!!

I undaerstand with the back a55, thats why i want to get that Hartge back box on very quick!gazm3 wrote:Mate, the reason I mentioned the Hartge kit is because I have one here to fit on my chrome wrongness.
The arse end looks so bare on a pre-facelift cab especially with a big box. Never liked facelift cabs.
Although the kit does look nice on the faceface lifts,

I need that steering wheel !
I see you have the old style Hartge valve cover, how did you get the breather pipe to fit past the injector rail or does your engine use the old style wiring ?

Thanks guys!
Cheers Imy - Thats the plan, but i need to get hold of a bolster for my drivers seat. The old roti has been at it!I'd use some of that leather restorer on the seats, will look even better
I thought I had the newer type cover? Its Motronic engine - its just a little fiddly getting the pipe on.I see you have the old style Hartge valve cover, how did you get the breather pipe to fit past the injector rail or does your engine use the old style wiring ?

yours is the pre-facelift like mine

then Hartge altered it slightly to fit BMW's newer injector loom (note the breather is more recessed )

I had 2
I realized they were different after i sold the facelift version yours like mine has less
'flat area' and looks better but the breather sits too close to the plastic injector rail
