That looks stunning!

I'm not a massive fan of the eyebrows and black grille but each to their own.

The colour, wheels, interior and of course the engine are all

I'm still jealous of those seats! Any more pics of them in the car?

Let me know when you have the urge to go back to a standard 318is and we'll do a swap!

Cheers guys. Had a few problems to tweak rev counter didnt work even after changing the coding plug and my heater blower would only work when the ignition was on but when the car was started it wouldn't! A day of trying to diagnosistics got me no where. Gave up and took it to get some tax today. On starting the rev counter started working and after nailing it down the runway the fan started working, so had a few grmlins but they seem to be working their way out. Hit the road for the first time legally today and im loving it, how i did without 24valves before i dont know but there's no going back for me...

does she feel lively?

It's the one thing I'm dreading the most with my conversion, all this arse ache only to end up thinking "is this it?" when I get it on the road.

Lee, they are well worth it..

Mine has now served a 225bhp TT on the M25 up to 130, pegged a 130i from 65-120 (nothing in it) although I didn't even drop it into 4th..*

Definitely worth it!!

*Of course the above tales are all made up as I never go over 70mph in it as that would be naughty.

getting a sump guard! very very soon.. at the moment there is about 3 1/2 inches of clearance from the sump to the ground, the suspension hasn't settled yet so that will probably drop more. At the mot station they couldn't get the jack under the front when it was on the 4 post ramp so they had slide the one from the back to the front, he wasn't best pleased! He still passed ot though

I have less that 3" iirc.. Didn't realise mine was that low.. You can't get a trolley jack under the chassis rail unless you remove the seat part..

Thats how mine is. I normally drive it on a couple of blocks of wood (staggered) and you can get the jack under but only have a 4 inch throw with the handle.

The engines shot to bits it wouldn't be worth it. I'll find a rot box 316 for him to make a short wheel base e30!

Yours looks about the same if not a bit higher than mine was on 50 profile tyres, couldnt get a standard trolley jack under the chassis rail on mine, had to either jack the sill first or drive onto timber.
It was at max low IMO

Tech 1 spoiler is staying, im not a big fan of tech 2 spoilers. The only thing im a little worried about is the sump just waiting to hit something and crack it.

You just have to be uber careful!

I am being uber careful at the moment, esp after going from a 3pot 316 to a 24v with lsd in these conditions. Dont think i could of picked a better time to get it on the road!

Definitely decided ive got my car on the raod at the wrong time of year! Its absolutely filthy and this morning i was hving to look out the passenger window while driving down the runway to the unit, i'd like to thank the snow and ice for almost putting me in the field this morning and ruining my fresh paint!

It died! It was only running on 3 when it came out, i'd already changed the injector rail for new ones so i'd had enough of it. Still have most of it in parts, block still complete minus the head, also have a couple of sets of IS inlets and rockers

Small update, loving the M50 now altho it did have a few little teething problems that all seem to be sorted (fingers crossed), done some hunting along the A12 and caught some mini coopers and i got a little big for my boots when i spotted a e39 Alpina B10 and subsequently got blown away at nearly 6000 rpm in 5th

Those BBS wheels are beautiful !

I'd love to come across a set of those, they are ideal!

The whole car is excellent as a whole. I've been hunting for a nice blue car for years here in the US.
