I'm looking into ordering up the down pipes to ditch the catalytic on my '89 US spec iX, and am wondering if any of you chaps could take a few pictures for me of a non catalytic set up.

Do the pipes that connect to the manifold go all the way back to the rear can, or is there an intermediate piece?

there's 2 "cans" on a standard non cat system

i'm not 100% sure but on my 1989 325 it is a 2 piece system with 2 tail pipes. The early 325's had a 3 piece system which is the bit im not sure about. Your not including the manifold in your total count?

That's exactly right Simon, and exactly what I wanted to hear.....

I reckon I'll order off the pipes. No more cat for the white car in those pics, but then she only went 1200 miles last a year.
