I will be road leagal in it this week as soon as the insurance paperwork comes through i can tax it and then the fun can begin!

As long as its ok this week i will be doing the track day at Abingdon organised by Jon BMW which is posted in the Motorsport section.

As for selling it, we'll see.

Fantastic job chap - looks like a factory fitment.

That looks like the front spoiler assembly from a pre-facelift cab - is that over your valance?

How'd you manage that? :)

Its a genuine Hartge front spoiler which makes up part of the full kit i have pictured bellow. Not sure if i'm going to fit it yet.

Ah. Probably should have guessed that given the 'Hartge theme' of the car!

The front spoiler looks pretty nice on its own - not too sure about the side skirts on that silver car though...

Still, if you don't end up fitting it, I'd definately be interested.

Barry, the car is looking great and the spec sheet is impresive. Couple of questions if you dont mind?

How are you getting on with the Wilwood conversion and did you go for front and rear or front only?

Who did you insure it with please? PM me if you like.

Cheers

This turned up today, a Walbro 255 ltrs ph fuel pump as recomended by a well known zone guru. After experiencing fuel starvation whilst lapping the ring last year, the decision was made to source a high flow pump and this is it. Hopefully this will sort it.

Image

Other than that the car is now taxed and i have put about 50 miles on it since the MOT with no problems so far (goes to touch wood!). Tidied up the wiring loom in the boot and refitted a few bits of trim inside the car so its coming together now.

Also fitted a pair of rear head rests as supplied by bmw-mad and the brackets from adit (cheers guys!) so the interior is coming together now. Just need to change the head lining to the anthricite one but i need to source a front screen first as it is chipped and scratched and as the screens have to come out to change the headlining, this makes sense.

Sorry for the lack of pics but its been dark or snowing.

I'm having second thoughs on selling it now!

Is that an in-the-tank pump so a direct exchange for the E30 one?

Thanks

Those Walbros are really easy to fit to the E30 cradle.

I'll take a look at the A/C pipe next time I see the car in person, trying to get one for the H36 but the e30 325i one isn't long enough, starting to think it was an alpina part they used from the B6.

I though Damo put a bigger pump in the touring Barry, I'm surprised you didn't tax that before you scrapped the shell.

The pump from the touring is in the car at the mo. He told me it was an E36 M3 one modded to fit the E30 cradle.

I would have put money on that being a walbro, I'm going to go and find the original build thread.

Fuel pump thread.
I just read through that thread and it does indeed apear that the pump was replaced.

I was told its an E36 M3 one in there though. :?

I was experiencing the same problems Damo, buster and Ste all said, fuel starvation on right hand bends at speed with less than half a tank.

I think that's caused by a lack of fuel around the pickup rather than a pump related issue. I have the same issue with my track turd.
