H&R Cup kit - new 35mm Kit

H&R have launched a new 35mm Cup Kit.

I suppose they found out that the other 60/40 kit was a bit too low for most people.

Anyway, its available through myself at Ԛ£325.

How would the above kit 35mm drop effect a 325 sport ???? as this car is already a tad lower, could be interested.

it drops it about 20mm more than it already is mate, i have these H&R springs on my car.

What shocks are they using Sal? same as the 60/40 kit?

I dont know what shocks they are using exactly but it is a complete kit.

They havent put it on their website yet but it available.

Knowing H&R the shocks will be matched to the springs.

Its more then likely they are the same sort of shocks as the 60/40 kit.

i have 35mm H&R springs with bilstein sport inverted dampers

The kit is -35mm with matched springs and shocks also bilstein but not as good as mine

yeh the shocks wont be as good as ures but as they are matched to the springs i doubt it matters....

the beauty of the shocks u have(well the front ones neway) is that they are self adjusting to spring rates, so u could swap springs if u required for ones different in height and rate, whereas with the cup kit the shocks are revalved toallow correct flow for the spring rates in the cup kit already taking into account car weight etc..... so the car wouldnt run right if u put different springs on it but kept the cup kit shocks.....

the other advantage of the inverted type is the response is apparently increased..... the mitsi evo 6 makkinen edition also had this inverted type damper, as u effectively increase contact time of tyre with road and it has a similar effect to reducing unsprung weight.....

H&R Cup kits are superb.

If you want Bilstein Dampers with H&R springs then your looking at Ԛ£450-485.

I personally found the Bilstein front dampers really hard.

The H&R kit will probably be better as the shocks and springs have been designed to work properly together.

Best person to speak to is Jimbob who had it fitted to his iS before the M20 conversion.

He did use the 60/40 kit though.

but surely if your shocks adjust to whatever springs u have then u can't lose either as the shocks match to the springs get me?

my setup is very stiff front and rear, hoping a strutbrace might take some of crashyness out of the ride at lower speeds

Don't know where it all comes from, some maybe from larger battery and the like, but the iS is listed as 1125kg and the 6pots as 1200kg in the manual

Is there a version of this kit for the Cab, i understand its heavier on the back and needs different springs ? Might be interested if there is as i've got to do the springs & shocks

this stuff is much much better than mtech kit and rides NO worse!

Well I'm sure it is definitely much better than the 130000 mile old Mtech stuff I've got on the iS at the moment!
How easy is it to change the suspension over? The rear looks uncontrollably straightforward; is the front much of a headache? I assume 35mm isn't enough of a drop to worry about camber angles being too far out? I can't really be bothered to go in and correct all that too.
