Plans for the car are as follows:-
M30b35 engine and box
New suspension
New Recaro seats retimmed in Alpina cloth and rear seats
Rear opening qtr windows
E30 dash and clocks,wiring loom
Possibly check control panel
Alpina steering wheel
E12 diff
Alpina wheels(After i sell the Mahle's)
Respray in white
Alpina livery in silver
Alpina front spoiler
e30 smileys
colour coded door trim

I got offered one of these for free a couple of years ago, because I had no space I had to turn it down
Good luck with the project though - it would be lovely when done
M50 though not M30


Now driving an E46 320D touring

, but it get's worse..... the new project is going to be Ford powered!

On a budget, m30 is alot cheaper than a m50 atm

Fair enough! I was only saying that as it's what I've dont to my E30 - chances are if I'd stuck an M30 in it I would be raving about that

I've stuck a M30 in my cab

and done most of it myself, so luckily i sort of know what i'm doing on the mechanical and electrical side of things, plus i've already bought the engine mounts

That will certainly shift well, a little nose heavy maybe. I do like a nice e21
