wassup peeps, my 87 327 is sitting at the garage after changing the afm and now there's no fuel coming in, mechanic is saying i need a new pump but i don't wanna buy one if it's not gonna fix the problem.

do you guys know if there might be any other reasons why the fuel ain't coming in?

Check the orange relay, under the cover by the afm. You should have a live in and a live out from this. if yes then look at the pump if no then it's only the relay.

what's a live in and a live out, and could it be the fuse box might have been messed around with?

Electricity passes from the fusebox via fuse 11 to the fuel pump relay(the orange one).Then goes on to the fuel pump.So if fuse 11 has blown,the fuelpump will not work.Likewise,if the fuelpump relay has blown,the fuel pump will not work.Also,you often find that immobilisers are wired into the fuelpump feed and these can cause problems as well.
