e36 m52 engine into e30 316i

was just wondering if anyone knows whats basicaly involved in the swap?

An E34 sump, oil pick up pipe and dipstick for a start, and the second thing is some decent suspension and brakes on the 316i.

to break it down read a few M50 swap threads on here,(virtually the same swap as M52)

as brian said you will need the sump etc from an E34,on the plus side you will already have the right engine arms,

also without ploughing through the M50 sticky im sure with the E36 loom you can get the Ecu under the dash

Hi im currently going through one of these my self i have asked most of the usual questions dont know if my thread will help but use the search and put in my name or E30 M50 help,
