really makes my piss boil, half of these NIMBY twats moved there long after the circuit was built, what do you expect!!!
I understand one of the complainants also is a vengeful ex-lover of one of the circuit developers
It's like moving to a house in the flight path of Heathrow and then starting a battle saying it's a bit noisy, retards!

The BMW CC GB trackdays are notoriously quiet ones. I emailed Nick about this earlier in the week, and he pointed out that he has 13 years of noise level records showing we are quieter than most. The 40 days appears to relate to unsilenced/noisy stuff. The question is whether the company can survive with less noisy stuff (bikes tend to be loud), and having to pay ludicrous fines. If they are still in business, Nicks trackdays will be welcome back - in fact they may beg us to come more often.
I am finalising the build of my E21 track car, and have decided to go with a standard exhaust so I don't have noise problems for trackdays. A wider bore less silenced one might give me a couple of extra BHP, but there's always the risk of failing a noise test and no fun that day. I suggest everyone gets proper silencers on their track cars now, as eventually it will be mandatory.

I have been following this quite closely as it very local to me and it is where i do all my trackdays and where I often go as a spectator

This seems to be a report carried out in early 2008 by a a Solicitors about the property, The Old Farmhouse.

It also appears that the people who were interested in buying the property (which may have led to a case of appeal to overturn the decision) have pulled out due to the threats of violence to the owners of the property due to the courts decision.

Would hate for croft to become another Thruxton. Placement of walls and earth banks can go a long way to virtually eliminating all but the loudest of motorsport activities. However I do expect noise elevels for Croft track days to drop to consistent 96db or possibly even less. 105db may very well be a thing of the past there.
We'll see I suppose. Good post BG, thank you for the links.

I'd rather see it turn into anything than face complete closure, which is where it is currently heading, unless fortunes turn their wayMox3d wrote:Would hate for croft to become another Thruxton.
