I've just bought an 86 528i se and of course the drivers seat is worn out (100k miles). I want a replacement but 2nd hand E28 sports seats are as rare as hens teeth. Would sports seats from an E30 fit? or what about the seven series? Anyone know? Maybe someone has fitted seats from 5 series into E30!
Just read somewhere that BMW seats have a subframe - does that mean that E30 front seats would fit onto an E28 subframe?

I'm sure the sport seats are the same for E30's, E28's and E24's it's just the runners that are different. So find a good passenger seat and swap accordingly?
