Buy a boombox that runs on batterys or even cigi lighter!
Any half decent headunit, a pair of 6x9s for the parcel shelf, and replacements for the front will do.
I'm not good with amps, subs etc so i can't help there.

Uni is killing the project.

first of all i would recommed some tweeter pods and some decent comps for the front, and a fairy decent amp, stick some 5.25s in the rear and a sub
you should be able to get a fairly decent system with £400

Have a look through the Styling/Ice section. Lots of info in there. I just recently set up a new system in my cab, cost me £600. 12" DB Audio 1000w rms sub, Vibe amp, Vibe 5.25" comps and a set of tweeter pods

Got my CD player from them a few years back. Good prices and fast delivery.
As above, £400 will get you a decent head unit, component set for the front and some 6x9 or 6" 2/3ways for the rear.
If you can afford to get a sub as well, smallish 12" with a 5 ch Amp will run everything just fine.
I assume though that you aren't looking for massive levels, but quality.

Sorry to hiJack guys, Imys, your tweeter pods, they the ones that cover the wing mirror from the inside? How easy was it to run the wires from the tweeter through the door and into the car?ImysE30 wrote:Have a look through the Styling/Ice section. Lots of info in there.
