I have a non vanos M50 ecu in the garage, however there was confusion over whether it was a 2.0 or 2.5, after I bought it as 2.5 one but it transpired the MAF supplied with was a 2.0 one.. I am 90% certain it turned out to be a 2.5 one, but can't remember.
So in a roundabout way, I'm asking is there any way to tell if it is a 2.0 or 2.5 one?
Non Vanos ECU..

Has it not got the chassis number on the White ticket?
Pretty sure the only way to tell is to open it up and see what is written on the chip?

No chassis number btw, looks like it was a replacement
