If I really had a push this could be done in no time, but it's hard to get the motivation when it's cold and wet.

Hoping to do a trackday in it at Silverstone in March but would like it running by xmas.

In fairness, you've got attention to detail slowing you down - I don't!

This turd is kind of on the backburner :( I need to relocated the intercooler, fit the oil cooler relocation kit, finish the wiring, get the exhaust made, get some intercooler pipes, fit the electric fan and fitted and decide between electric PAS or the normal Nissan hydraulic setup.

As well as this, the car needs some attention from a welder, the front factory lifting points are a bit ripe, the nearside rear inner arch is starting to go, the bulhead behind the fusebox is festering and the whole engine bay is looking a bit sad after god knows how many engine swaps. Poor thing.

I really do want to get this car done though, in time for some trackdays and ring trips.

Come on, get your arse in gear.. If you need less to concentrate I'll take the Hartge off your hands for £10 and a mars bar (inc the reshell turd of course) :)

Yeah I've got an electric pump from a saxo, allbeit the type with a seperate resevoir. Problem is that the best place to mount it (on the inside of the drivers side chassis rail) isn't free because the alternator is in the way.

I think that anything from 3.64 to 3.91 will be suitable for the conversion. I've only done bits of the wiring so far, i'll tell you how difficult it is when the car is finished!

Tom, I got my engine from someone off SXOC.co.uk - paid £1000 for the engine (stage 1 chip, metal headgasket, cold plugs, light weight flywheel) gearbox, rad, fan, uprated fuel pump, pas pump, various 52mm gauges, nissan lsd, propshaft etc
Bit of a bargain apparently, why do you need an SR20?

Picked up a P plate 200sx with a fubarred engine for a song last week! I've not had chance to assess the turds problem yet TBH, it may just need a turbo... It drives but hardly has any power and is making some odd noises although I'm not convinced they are of the internal engine sort. Need to whip the turbo off and go from there I guess. Took a bit of a chance on it TBH as I have no experiance with rice but nuts are nuts and bolts are bolts I guess! The M5 engine will be "dropped" into my new Touring first though :D

Green with black leather and its manual. Totally standard and a UK car too, not an import.

So that's where your engine came from. Just started reading the build thread on this spaceframe thingy he is building and found the white track slag!

One of my friends has already done this conversion, he is getting his car resprayed at the moment. He is not a zoner and probably will not join the site, his a full time mechanic and doesn't really do the internet anyway.

He will come to the E30 Santa Pod event when thats happening later this year. Will be nice to see some more sr20 powered e30's.

Yeah came with ECU (with HD stage 1 chip) and loom. Also came with a big intercooler, s15 roller bearing turbo, 3" stainless downpipe, poly engine and gearbox mounts, shortshift, charge temp sensor and digital display, silicone rad hoses etc etc. Definitely a bargain!
