IT IS A SHOW CAR
Shows the driver up for being a moron if he thinks that's a show car.

So how do you touch up flip paint? Matching would be great fun!
No shots of the front seats either. What a shed.

Wonder what he means by "Ex show car" ? possibly that he drove it to a car show once ?
It was a turd the last time it was on ebay. Its still a turd.

Hello All, just afew things I need to get off my chest... sorry if it offends anyone!
I think its a bit mean to take the piss out of someones car like this especially if its fellow zoner.... its personally not my taste either but I would not go taking the piss out of it (not on the forum anyway).
The other I have noticed that there are afew zoners are strongly against the brummies or e30's from birmingham .... I can see why because most of them or nearly all them claim that they are a Motorsport (if a cabby) or a 325i Sport (if a 2 door or some funny enough a 4 door! lol) ... I agree with where its all coming from but lets not let the few spoil the genuine ones. I have seen lots of (got to say) dodgy e30's around the country but then again seen afew decent ones too, its like that every where i guess? but lets not give brum a bad name... I think it just puts off the genuine ones to submit post on to the forum, I know it puts me off!
I have seen some postings on here which end up horribly wrong..... this is not what this forums about...... lets just be abit friendly and helpful as this is what this forum supposed to be for.
Again sorry if this as offend anyone.
Ivan.

Is the removal and fairing of rear door handles a common mod?
What does this achieve? Keeps the kids from getting into your car in the first place? Stops you getting hijacked at lights (for those who live in such places)?

Its called de-locking and is popular with people who want a smoothed over "Euro" look. Some nutter de-locked the driver's door on my touring. I have no idea why you'd de-lock the one door that you're most likely to want to use the key for, but he did a good job.
Luckily it locks/unlocks on the remote.

its not the forum that gives brummies a bad name, they happily do this to themselves by forcing every e30 thats enters the city limits straight down to les smiths, handing over their giro slip, then proceding to advertise on ebay as a 'sport'.urfy wrote:Hello All, just afew things I need to get off my chest... sorry if it offends anyone!

He's got a valid point, there's a helluva lot of Brummie bashing goes on here. Maybe it should calm down, after all we can all do it.stevotheevo wrote:its not the forum that gives brummies a bad name, they happily do this to themselves by forcing every e30 thats enters the city limits straight down to les smiths, handing over their giro slip, then proceding to advertise on ebay as a 'sport'.urfy wrote:Hello All, just afew things I need to get off my chest... sorry if it offends anyone!

Yeah and swaggering cockney wide boys don't.
Glaswegians eating battered mars bars don't.
Manc's undoing wheel nuts at 80mph don't.
Pompy hello sailors don't.
If you get the gist. That's a Leicester car by the way!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. Don't mention Brighton

I'm from Brum originally and to be honest most of the brummie bashing that goes on is probably justified.
If you look at the quality of E30's sold from Birmingham a lot of them are absolutely shocking -stupid bodykits, "Motorsport innit bruv" etc etc etc.....no wonder people take the mick.
Most of the cars I've bought since I started driving have not been from Birmingham - even though I've lived near there all my life.
Strangely enough though my current E30 was bought from Brum - but then it didn't claim to be anything it wasn't - after all they didn't do Sports in Bronzit

Look, I'm not disagreeing completely with you. We all love to "Brummie bash", especially me, but there does seem to be a bit of an excess on here. It must (as "urfy" says) be a bit off putting for Brummie zoners, after all; are we in the business of alienating people or trying to improve and expand the zone. The problem seems to me to be that some people, from certain areas, regard the zone as their property and resent anyone else trying to infiltrate.capri_rob wrote:I'm from Brum originally and to be honest most of the brummie bashing that goes on is probably justified.

Point taken fella - improvement and expansion of the zone can only be a good thing
Wouldn't want to put any E30 owner or would-be owner off joining the Zone - regardless of the model and condition of their car.

Nobody minds straightforward, honest opinion. It's when the majority of it's directed (sometimes unfairly) at one group of people that he's talking about.fuzzy wrote:i personally prefer straight forward honest opinion and thoughts rather than wishy washy non offending pc wooly words . if you think somethings sh1te dont be afraid to say so.urfy wrote:Hello All, just afew things I need to get off my chest... sorry if it offends anyone!
