bonnet cable snapped - HELP

bought e36 325i 1993 for m50 conversion. bonnet cable snapped. anybody know how to open bonnet.

Screw driver through the n/s grill by the top left corner of the high beam light. You can see the catch there, just twist and it will pop open..
M30 Tech 1 Touring on gas.

had a go of opening bonnet today and found two catches holding bonnet down.so pulled one part of kidney grill off and pushed o/s catch over to the left and bonnet opend .e36 is different setup to e30.i can now start m50 conversion .

could this go down as the worst start to a M50 conversion??? failed at opening the bonnet stage!!! winkeye
