I was out testing my new touring today after going through the brakes to ensure all was well, got to a junction looked right, looked left, pulled out and a big bang, wondered "what the hell is that" so nursed it home, not really driving as nice as it should be, parked up and looked under the back end to find my diff has fallen off the back of the car, the rear mounting has sheared off the diff

So if anyone can help me to get a diff back plate i'd be most greatful, its a 325 diff and has the fill and drain plugs in line with each other, hope someone can help as i'm having tp drive a Citroen C5 water bed till its sorted

Cheers

has it got 6 or 8 bolts holding the back plate on? I have a spare 8 bolt rear cover here which *should* be correct for your car PM me if it's the right item

If the drain plugs are in line then it's an 8 bolt rear cover.

Same thing happened to me! Except I was hundreds of miles from home. Cue the tow truck...

I've had the same too. Not nice as the limp home rammed the remaining half of the cover in to the rear diff mount bracket and bent it all to hell.

:x

Serves me right though as the whole story started from a few poorly tightened drive shaft bolts.
