does anyone have any idea if the washers are run through the big black relay in the fuse box? mine have stopped working but if there powered up with my power-probe there fine??

The washers are switched directly by the column switch.
The signal is also fed to the black relay, to activate the wipers.
There should be power at one side of the washer pump (ignition positions 1, 2 and 3), and the pump is run by earthing the other side by the column switch.

kind of on the same lines.
my wipers stopped working on fri eve when thanfully i was only washing my windscreen and it wasnt raining.
spent an hour on sat and managed to find the problem (wiper stalk) changed this and all working except for the washing function.
need the correct stalk now all I can get from the old one is 8370 on th case with a small 24 9f printed on the back.
any ideas on bmw price or part number or anywhere else I can get it from?
