i not sure how to go about the engine swap yet, its a 320i at the moment, but not sure how much work involved 2 get a bigger lump in. anythin i can throw in without altering the wiring? not a fan of messing about with the cables under the bonnet........

If you don't want to mess with the wireing then a 2.5 would be easy, a bit harder would be a 2.7/2.8 but a good one of either of those should crack 200bhp maby more depending how much money you put into it.

turbo kit and nitrous would see good power figures. you cant have bark without the bite imo. bite without bark is fine but not the other way around

Go for the m30 route, only need 3 wires tro complete on the electrics side of things and can be done within a few days if its all planned first.
Loads of info for it on the forum, thats where all my info came from and i did most of the work myself, and i only carry out diy jobs on the car before.

M30 would have been my suggestion too Rav, this oldschool widebody kit would be complimented nicely by a 3.5 lump, then turbo it
