Hi - as above really.

It's regulated to 3.5bar currently. Will it supply 4bar reliably?

Cheers,
Ash

Is that 4bar as a result of half a bar of boost, or are you turning the fuel pressure up and then boosting on top dude?

Mine runs at 4bar we had to raise it on the adj FPR when we mapped it to help the injectors. :D

Were upping the fuel pressure from 3.5 at idle to 4.9 at idle, but our adjustable fuel pressure regulator is not connected to the boost currently. As we get up in the revs it looks like the fuel pump can't keep up as the pressure is dropping to around 3.8

In any case, I need bigger injectors, but we are just seeing what we can get to with the stock pump and injectors.

We've seen 207 BHP at 5900rpm. Really need to get cooling sorted out as there's not much flow to the IC behind the headlamp. We've seen temps up to 60ish on the road on a cool evening. The 207 was with intakes down to about 30 from the big rolling road fan :D

What injectors were you running matt??

I'm seeing 100% duty cycle @ 4bar on stock injectors with AFRs around 12-13.

Cool. Cheers Rick.

Woot. Just seen 209bhp @ 5800. I'm sure there's going to be a bit more in it when we can map the top end properly on higher flow injectors. Not lots, but another few I'd hope. Need to update my build thread now - watch that space :)

Any FPR will have to be connected to the intake manifold so that it can maintain the same reference pressure
against the intake pressure.

Stock E30 pumps can do 5bar and well above 300hp flow wise
With great challenges comes great engineering.

209 bhp Great stuff hoshy! what inlet temps were you seeing?

I'am using rover k-series cream top bosch injectors at 4 bar 80% cycle.

Do you still want that supercharger? ive got it boxed up ready :D

Cheers Matt. Intakes are not good currently. The R5 I/C is not getting enough airflow for I'm going to do a headlamp delete ala appletree - will PM you about the charger too :)

On the dyno the fan kept things below 40 which was good enough for the 209 but on the road I only get a couple of mins of booting it before the IC saturates and then I'm up to 65deg on a coldish day and the pinking creeps in. The dyno run I took when we hit 209 was a bit of a cheat in all honesty as the fan is HUGE and it was a cold night, but it does show what can be available if I get things right from here on.

Really need to develop a better bypass system too. With the throttle after the charger and just one 25mm bypass the system screams like hell on overrun.

Toby unna ran a ebay special 50mm race port on his car, may be that what you could use it will flow loads and last for ever.
