Hi there, quick question are the grey check front seats from the 318is

the same as the grey check seats from the M3

i know the rears are different, but is the cloth on the seats the same.

yes they did a blue check, a light grey check

the m3 also had optional dark grey check

So out of the three check colours they did,

light grey
dark grey
blue

were all three fitted to 318is and M3 or was the M3 dark grey the only one for the M3 and the other two for the 318is anyone know.

As the M3 is a left hand drive car, the passenger and driver seats will be opposite to the 318iS. The only difference this makes is to the extra handle to allow the driver to tilt the passenger seat forward. The advantage of a set of M3 seats would be that you would be using the passenger seat as the drivers seat in a 318iS and passenges seats as a rule have much less wear.

i have M3 special order recaro seats in dark grey check

and they are the proper recaros not bmw styled sport seats

no way mate, they have been stored for years,

i got them from a delivery mileage M3

they are going in my 325 when i`ve finished the restoration lol

I saw a convertible at the Hoghton Tower classic car show yesterday which had beige check Recaros! Never seen these before.

I have the dark grey check seats in my 318is :cool:

My other iS that i have just sold had the light grey check...

I *think* i have seen blue cheque in a 318iS but can't be sure...

And ermm brown check was available for the convertibles.
