beemerbird wrote:Rob - this stinks. Persevere and go for your dosh. I'm presently trying to get some money back from a zoner (albeit a pitiful amount - but I have principles) and it stinks.

In my case the twot was looking for a steelworker near him a while ago, so I gave him the mobile number of one of my best mates who does this and lives not too far from him. OK, he may not have bothered to contact my friend, but it pees me off when I stupidly assume that others concept of 'community' is the same as mine.

Bring on the E30 Zone Community ASBO - that's what I say! :x

You sort of get a feeling about people when you chat on a forum Fi, and my gut instincts felt reinforced after i met Jaffro face to face. There,s always one that slips under the radar though. There are certain people who have given me parts on here for next to nantes, and i,ve done the same myself. Fair play for chasing up your money mate. Can,t fault you.
The decent people on here far outnumber the tossers.

Rob, don't give up just yet!

In my experience, Jaffro is possibly the least organised person in the world. I waited months and months to get some parts off of him. But these were parts that he wouldn't take any money for. Yup, FOC, including him forking out for the postage. So despite the delays, he still came across as very much one of the good guys.

Obviously I can't offer any guarantees - all I can say is that deliberately ripping someone off seems a long way out of character.

Hope you get it sorted... :thumb:

Hear what you,re saying Ziggy, but bar a few days it,s been nearly 12 months now. Seems out of character to me too, but he has given me very little alternative other than to fear the worst. Would love to be proved wrong, not just for the money either. :(

gooner1 sorry to hear about this, has anyone pm'd Jaffro about this thread ?

I know he's only down the road from me (Hazel Grove), never met him but he's followed up a few threads of mine and always been helpful

I've bought a tech1 rear spolier off ric325i (the one from round here, looks a bit like Jesus winkeye ) and he was a nice enough chap, we had a good chat and I'm sure he mentioned Jaffro

Anyway hope he pays up and it's all good
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....
