my dme relay has gone so i need to replace it, someone told me i can use the fog light relay?
is this true, if so, which is the fog light relay, i think its blue, and is relay k4? am i right

You may well be able to use the fog light relay, can't comment on this,
but new ones are only 7-8 squid from Euro.

DME relay should be 5 pin type, and has a heavier current rating than most relays, so I don't see how fog light relay could work.

mine was playing up went to bmw ordered one and was told the posts are exactly the same, same numbers on the pins, put the fog light one in and have never looked back ....the only difference is the motronic one has lugs on the case to hold it in ........good means of testing your dme or in the event of a breakdown

I had to replace one and the fuel pump relay recently. Just went to my local dealers, they are not very expensive and they had them in stock.

Not a good idea to use a different relay for the DME, it has 2 diode's internally to protect the ECU from back feeds and spikes.
ECP lists them as motronic relay 5 pin for Ԛ£8.99
