Me and Barry bought this C2 2.5 to break Gloss black G reg 4 door auto thing

The bodywork is tatty to say the least, well it's pretty hammered in places but the engine is strong and low milege 115k with full regular service history all mot's etc

manual box some suspension onto the floor, bit of welding and revive it as a brickies daily slag for a year or so with a ticket i keep thinking. Doesn't need anything major for an MOT. I've all the parts and i'm easily distracted. I've got front and rear strut braces spare to stiffen it for some ring action!

I've even got a spare shagging blind!

2 alpina's are enough but the touring is a bit too nice to drive it like a loon

There's defo some life in it yet, or am i just mad?> :hammer:

if you reckon you could run it or abuse it a bit longer i say go for it even if you do only revive it for another year it keeps your other car from abuse for a year

yup wheres the tradesman entrance!

Just need Damo's cab and then a B6 then a B6s then a C1 2.3 then......

It would need a lightened fly and clutch to help things! £300 max to get on the road even less if you where tight. Just a fair bit of my time though

yes the 316i is really really boring, i like autos but i don't if you get me. You can't have fun in an auto like a manual

Chrome bumper 325i is tickling me too. As much as i hate driving old nails and should get out of this E30 thing i like them too much still

it's sat on the grass with flat tyres with bird sh!t on it annoying me!

All depends how much welding it needs Si. Have you and Barry REALLY had it up on stands and checked it out. If it turns into a weldathon then it's gonna be yet another project lying about. A couple of serious questions need to be answered:

1. Realistically, How long to get it on the road and usable?
2. if it's that good, what profit would it return as a Manual, decent suspenders and MOT'd?
3. How much is it worth in parts against no.2 above?

It seems a shame to break it being a 'pina. Plus 4 doors could come in handy when the families started. winkeye

You don't make life easy for yourself, do you really want the agro of getting another car on the road, esepcially one that only has to transport you to work and back, I reckon stick with the plan you had originally.
I have to say I do quite like it though, felt pretty quick even with the slush box attached.

How much scrap does one man need Si, I'd say frag the turd and crack on with one of the other projects.

it needs for MOT these are the fails

headlamp aim too low drivers

passenger indicator not working

both rear tyres below limit

handbrake both sides below limit

front to rear brake pipe

it's well in on the emissions even with a slight blow they must of missed it

This wouldn't be a project just a quick old nail to smoke around in!

If you can MOT it for the cost of a pair of tyres, indicator bulb and a brake pipe Its got to be worth doing - certainly seen a lot worse on the roads !
