I've got a 325i Touring with Switchable Auto and a South African 325i Saloon with normal Auto, anybody got any ideas how easy it would be to swap them? How much electrics will I have to do?

The switchavle auto/EH box has its own ECU situated on the nearside inner wing inside the boot. They were also only supplied with Motronic EMS cars. If your SA 325 is Motronic then it should be fairly straightforward although I have a feeling the TPS is slightly different. If it's not Motronic I think it would require a lot of work.

All Uk spec one's are. Wasn't sure about SA models. They have to deal with the 'thin' air of the Transvaal and the thick humid stuff down on the coast.

SA model is Motronic, UK spec to all intents and purposes. I've seen the extra ECU for the EH gearbox in the back of the Touring, so I'd have to find some space for it in the boot. Not being a genious at the electrics I may stick with what I've got, although versatility of the switchable makes for good fun - second to a manual.
