what should be pluged in next to the central locking relay behind the o/s speaker? black plug?

Sounds like the interior light delay relay. Never had one fitted to any of the E30's I've owned..

Where is the relay for the electric mirrors? as they don't work either!

There isn't one, other than the power goes through K7, along with the power for the heater fan.
Fuse is 19, 7.5A
