Either cut the metal under the parcel shelf or build up the height on top of the parcel shelf with mdf.

Mdf is the way to go, You needa 4ft strip x 15 inches wide ( approx ) if youre handy with the jig saw ,then no probs, use the speaker templates then cover in a greyish material available from most accesory shops and the jobs a gudun

If you want an idea of the MDF spacers then here they are in the back of my car.
There 4 x 18mm MDF rings glued together then painted black. Do the job nicely and dont look out of place.

I got mine from a local ICE shop, although you can buy them online, just do a search in Google.
Hope this helps.

I got some off cuts (1/2 inch thich) of MDF trimmed to just bigger that the speakers, used the template that came with the speakers and cut the hole out with a jigsaw. Sprayed them mat black and bolted the whole lot through the rear shelf (metal as well). Sounded fantastic.Taylor325i wrote:Either cut the metal under the parcel shelf or build up the height on top of the parcel shelf with mdf.
