hi all, i would like to buy one of these manifolds to complement my new head thats being built up(with the alpina cam)... does anyone know if there are any for sale?? or are they special order??
The delive the good though unlike the Hottuning coppies!
185bhp and 190lbft from a BTB2 and scorpion/sebring system is a bloody good result imo!

About twice as much with the fanifold + x pipe! Evo tend to buy in bulk so that's where the saving comes from.bss325i wrote:You can but them dirrect from BTB i think but cost more.e30bmlover wrote:are evo - s the only company who can get hold of these?? tbh i dont really want to buy off of them.
Damn good manifold I've got on on my M20B28, I've not see better welding on anything yet, you could hang it on the wall as a master piece!
I sold simon one that need repairing but i doubt he will sell it.cliffybabe wrote:Surley u or Si have one kicking aroundbss325i wrote:RHD oes are NLA and very hard to find second hand.cliffybabe wrote:what about getting a Alpina one??![]()

Good luck.e30bmlover wrote:well if anyone has a alpina six branch or a hartge one i would be interested in it.
BTB2 or RD are best for power gains.
Is a white 325i sport?Muli wrote:The BTB is an excellent manifold, I cant fault it!! and it sounds awsome to![]()

To be fair, the car dynoed for the Hottuning manifold had a slight fueling issue, IIRC. The manifold also needs to be cleaned up a bit. Once the dremel has been unleashed it might do a little better. I also recollect that torque was reasonable in terms of gain. If you can afford it, though, the BTB is definitely the manifold to go for, but not everyone can afford such an outlay. For the money I reckon the manifold is fine, but I wouldn't even think of comparing it to the BTB manifold. Such a direct comparison is silly.
BTB2 is good but its far from perfect.......i.e to allow the nuts to fit on the first part of some of the primaries are slightly depressed and this presents a slight flow blockage on some cylinders. IMO the primaries should have had a bit more straight section from the flange before it starts snaking. I gave the inside of mine a bit of a once over with the dremel after i pulled the head and found some decent carbon build up on the dags near inside where the pipes welds to flange.

The hottuning fannymould didn't give much extra peak power but there were gains proven throughout the rev range and a decent increase in torque.AlpineAde wrote:To be fair, the car dynoed for the Hottuning manifold had a slight fueling issue, IIRC. Err.. you maust have a hotttuning one because my BTB2 has no such thing but i have seen hottuning ones that have!reggid wrote:BTB2 is good but its far from perfect.......i.e to allow the nuts to fit on the first part of some of the primaries are slightly depressed and this presents a slight flow blockage on some cylinders. The BTB2 makes gains throughout the rev range AND peak power!oakey wrote:The hottuning fannymould didn't give much extra peak power but there were gains proven throughout the rev range and a decent increase in torque.AlpineAde wrote:To be fair, the car dynoed for the Hottuning manifold had a slight fueling issue, IIRC. for £670 sobs i wouldn't expect a carbon build up! the btb's have been tested and tested.. they would have known if a carbon build up would occur.. seems to me that hottuning woke up one day and thought... lets make a cheap manifold for the e30!! so they knocked on up in a couple of days put it on a car and liked the noise... because thats about all you get with one.. a nice noise..bss325i wrote:Err.. you maust have a hotttuning one because my BTB2 has no such thing but i have seen hottuning ones that have!reggid wrote:BTB2 is good but its far from perfect.......i.e to allow the nuts to fit on the first part of some of the primaries are slightly depressed and this presents a slight flow blockage on some cylinders. i am taking the standard m20b25 to the limit... the cam has been selected.. another head is being built(so yes i have a spare virtually new head) the ecu is in place... the new(well nearly a year old now) 3 part exhaust system gives a lovely note anyway... the suspension is sorted... all i need now is a bbtb and a nice proven gain six branch...
si £350...
I know Barry, I just think you're giving it a harder time than it deservesbss325i wrote:The BTB2 makes gains throughout the rev range AND peak power!oakey wrote:The hottuning fannymould didn't give much extra peak power but there were gains proven throughout the rev range and a decent increase in torque.AlpineAde wrote:To be fair, the car dynoed for the Hottuning manifold had a slight fueling issue, IIRC. I will be getting a btb at some point as I'm not happy with my exhaust system.

It deserves everything it gets!
It really pissed me off when everyone sang the praise of the HT manifold with out even testing it and slagged of the BTB2 which was proven, even before my results to deliver the goods!
Oh how i laughed when these belgian back street coppies FAILED!

Woould be interesting to see what your RD mani would make on my standard 325i?Simon13 wrote:strange theres none of that carbon build up my on RD manifold
If it will deliver the same 10+ bhp and 15+lbft tourque!

lol!! at the end of the day you pay for what you get.. i wasn't one of the doubters of the btb... i was skeptical about the hottuning offering.bss325i wrote:It deserves everything it gets!

I think you need to detach yourself from it all slightly dudebss325i wrote: It really pissed me off when everyone sang the praise of the HT manifold with out even testing it and slagged of the BTB2
I don't remember anyone slagging off the btb, it's always been known as the best 6branch available.

Barry if you want to bolt it on and go up to Sal's when the engine is out of the touring then by all means will be interesting!
Ive just bought a HT one, It looks fine for the job its going to do. Im not after squeezing anymore out of it nor will it make it go any faster because its shiny.
My Sport has been laid up for 6yrs and looking in the engine bay the manifold was looking rather rusty and it was blowing in the usual places, the studs will be repaired and the new HT manifold will be put on, if it sounds a bit more fruitier then so be it but I'm not after an extra 10bhp, for that to happen I need to loose a few stone first and I need too
I will report back when the HT manifold is on and up and running, the days of squeezing power and driving like the max power posse is long gone for me.

When i get the bit between my teeth i am relentless.
I'm just tying to make everyone aware that they should not exepct gains from the HT mani.
The primary purpose of a 6 branch manifold is to extract more power, if it doesn't then whats the point?
BK rep springs to mind!
I may well do that. The sport is being sorned at the end of jan for some work to be done so i may take you up on that.Simon13 wrote:not quite bertoakey wrote:I think you need to detach yourself from it all slightly dudebss325i wrote: It really pissed me off when everyone sang the praise of the HT manifold with out even testing it and slagged of the BTB2![]()
