Beware...

I got pulled over on Friday for my 'all red' rear lights. Copper reckoned I was commiting a road traffic offence and made me change them back, and get the ticket stamped by an MOT station (which cost me a tenner too!).

Tosser. He followed me for 10 miles down a dual carriage way, me in the inside lane and him in the outside lane just behind me... wanker. He then decided to scream down the road after me when I got a few cars infront of him after a roundabout or two with his siren and lights going just before I pulled off to a car-park. Nothing better to do...

Just thought I'd share my misfortune with you all!

I said I bought it like that over a year ago and it's got a brand new MOT just this month. He'd checked with his traffic cop 'friend' though, who said they were illegal.

They were REALLY red though... so I just put my spares on and got on with it.

He didn't understand where my interior had gone though... "Where's the steering cowl?" He says... "Is this your car sir?"

Oh no... another one who doesn't understand a 'road legal' race car...

They will never suit the e30 fortunately, all red rear lights is the way to go on these puppies (maybe smoked lights but to do 'em red is only like a tenner!)

I could do a group buy on these if there was enough interest, but don't think people would spend Ԛ£150 on a set of taillights...

And there was me thinking that we were all members of the zone because we all have the same common interest in the E30. NOT to slag of other people's cars - It's certainly not why I'm a member and I'm not going to retaliate by slagging off your car "chaos". Not even going to waste my time looking to see if you have any pictures of it on the site. What you wrote was well below the belt. If you don't like my car that's fine. I know some of the mods I've done to it are not to everyones taste- that's also fine. This thread was pretty much light hearted till you stuck your oar in but if you feel you need to express your opinions in this manner then I suggest you keep them to yourself in the future.

:yeahthat: got to agree with taylor on that one

i hate the lexus lights and especially on an e30 but i wouldnt slag car as a whole as that is the point of the zone to bring e30 owners together as a community to help each other and hopefully to keep as many e30s as poss alive and running
no need to start making it personal mate Daz leeds :bolt:

at the end of the day the man has a nice clean e30 with a couple of his own touches and ok they wont be to everyones taste but would you really want every e30 you saw to look identical to your own??
we all have our own finishing touches so each to there own imo

http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... pic&t=9821

the lights are poo.
no other way of describing them (except with other such words)
kit looks nice (red kidneys are bl**dy chav imo tho)
not keen on the wheels, tho theyd look nice on a different car
the numberplate - lets not even go there
red bmw badge - hmm well its different, but not for me
letterbox exhaust - never liked them and told the same to my m8 who had one
white dials - just no, taking one of the best looking dashs ever (esp at night) and changing it to white
the extra dials on top of the dash look like what they are - cheap nasty crap stuck on with a bit of glue.
the ICE in the rear arm rest - 10/10 for doing it, but i personally dont like it.

as for my car well here it is, feel free to slate it if u want (or can)
Image

heres my old car - feel free to slate that too if you want/can

i apologise if i upset you with my comments, but ppl on here as u said like e30's and what uve done to urs is in my opinion a tragedy.

oh and one other thing, if i make a statement u can rest assurred its 100% what i feel. - like or loath what ive said at least ive said what i feel and u know its my hinest opinion and not some shite said to appease u.[/quote]

Never seen your motor before Chaos... must have missed it... what can I say 8O 8O 8O Nice.... 8)

Is that a wind deflector thingy over the rear?? do they fold down over the rear seats?

Understand what your saying re taylors motor... just thought you jumped on him a bit harshly at first!!

No hard feelings here

im just honest m8.
and i say what i fell - if ppl dont like it then they shudnt ask for opinions (thats not trying to be harsh, just saying u have to take the rough with the smooth)

yes it is a wind deflector - genuine bmw one.
if left in place (and i dont really use the back seats often) it can be folded flat over the rear seats - however up or down u cant use rear seats if u have on in place.

First of all lights - I like them and they are staying for the time being. Don't mind if I am the only zoner with them on my car. I may change them in the future if I get fed up with them.

Red kidneys - I like them too and are def staying. Other guys on the site also like them.

Wheels - Spent a lot of time choosing them (with what I could afford to spend) didn't want to go down the same route as other E30 owners do i.e. Alpina Replicas etc and the BBS wheels are a b@stard to keep clean.

Number plate - I had a spare Ԛ£20 one day and just thought fcuk it why not. Will probably get pulled by the feds at some point and told to change them.

Red BMW badges - Yes they are different and a nice touch I think.

Exhaust - If you are gonna fit a stainless exhaust you gotta do it right. I think the tailpipe fills the hole in the rear valance a fcukin treat and sounds perfect and I know that nobody else has the same system as me cos it's custom made.

White dials - OK the standard dials are fine but I like white dials and they have the added bonus of being blue or green at night ( I'm easily amused)

Auxhilary Guages - I do have to agree with you on that one - they do look cheap and nasty where they are but will soon be relocated and changed for better ones.

Arm rest speakers - Thanks for the 10/10 - I was quite pleased with them and all my own idea too - who's a clever boy?

As for ruining my car - I know that it has some mods not to everyones taste but who cares - I don't, I like to be different.

And as for your cars - very nice but the cab is not my cup of tea - never liked soft tops of any description - never will (except Bootyman's - Class in a glass)

I take on board that you speak your mind and that's fine but you could have went about things differently, that's all. As far as I'm concerned apology accepted and end of story.

Taylor.
