now I coudnl't be a really major pain in the arse if I not ask about the m30 downpipe, will a e32 fit in a e30 or does it need serious mods in order to fit, are there any major clearances to be considerer or is it a bolt on job?
thanks in advance
Once again guys you've all been trully helpfull with all my questions

im pretty sure like most conversions you would have to mod the downpipe or go custom.
i got one done on a m50 and im sure it cost me £160.

Hi,
i've just checked the part numbers for the e32 and the e34 and they are the same, i used the e34 manifolds with no mods at all, there isn't alot of space but they do fit!
yuse this for part numbers of each BMW model-

I couldn't find one either and opted to use the m30 dualmass flywheel.
To be honest, it works really well, no juddering when you take of, as you do with some singlemass flywheels.
And also its still quick to 60mph, and toodles along if 5th at 25-30mph smoothly.

Have a look at the sticky thread at the top of the section... it seems that there are subtle differences in some E32/E34 exhaust manifolds which lead to contact with the steering coupling. I ended up swapping the front section (IIRC) to an E34 one... Downpipes are fine though.

tell me about juddering...my gighly remapped hybrid turbo alfa romeo 156 1.9 jyd had ( it was te earlier version no VNT turbo at all and it wen from 105 hp and 280 Nm to 160 hp and 340 Nm, I had to drive like a petrol otherwise I would feel judder everywhere but it eas so much fun, bimmers 320f killed them all, mercedes 220 cdi done, falblokes audi a4 and a6 cya in the nex traffic light. so much fun.
So I 'm keeping my duallmass it reaaly needs it in order to prevent thins to go all over the place.
Cheers
Diogo

No mate, sold the turbo as the turbine (hot) side was too big and it was going to prove to expensive to get the right size. Still got all my megasquirt ready to go on and I'm now looking at supercharger options.Rav335uk wrote: Have you done the turbo conversion yet??

let's just hope it all goes down aswell as the shopping list LOL, I was first planning to making it a fully stripped out trackday car, but I have a bike and need a car for rainy days I also own a geman classic a 1969 low millage Opel Commodore coupe GS but that thing drinks gas like an alcoholic, so I decided to make it a daily commute with just the bare creature conforts (no A/C, stereo, power windows) to keep it light but in the meantime if I have to make a long trip with it I won't go crazy with exhaust sound or excessive introsive vibrations. so it's a daily commute part time trackday car. ehehehheh
Oh and I decided to go open diff, cause I'm a sucker for booty shakers
