noob question-painting bbs's

is there anyway i can spray my bbs's black, cheap and properly? sorry for stupid questions but if you dont know you dont know

rub them down with sand paper/wet & dry,then spray them with a rattle can!
be aware that bbs's are a pain in the arse to prep.

sweet, any rattle can makes i should avoid/get? or just a hallfrauds jobby?

Halfords are fine, use some primer, couple of coats of colour and some laquer, can produce a quality looking job but as always prep is the kety, but as said they are a real pain to rub down, i know from experience

cheers for the help, i was looking at some walkthroughs on tinternet and i'm gonna save up and get them done proffesionaly, cause if i mess them up i havnt got any spairs lol or the time to be quite frank.

I am after a set of nice, original BBS wheels and have a set of 4 aftermarket (TSW I think) 5 spoke 17s in black that really are not my sort of thing. Is it worth us speaking further?

i did mine using nitromors to strip off the old , metal filler to fill any chips in the spokes and normal car paints, (primer+ colour) to spray them with laquer on top, took a lot of time but it was worth it for the finished article and it has lasted a good 18 months so far.

I used paint stripper, then loads of sandpaper(180 and 400 grit), then aluminium filler, paint and clear coat

I just cleaned mine spent about half an our a wheel with tool brush etc and just painted them, sat on my back garden still looking good

if you didnt get a good key for the paint it wont last.thats why i stripped back to bare metal

nah thanks couldnt nearly afford adaptors at the mo, and 17's are a bit to big for my car (i like it as low as possible

Are you wanting to do them in a gloss finish or mat/satin finish ?

gloss, but i'm, going to leave them now
