Rear benches are much wider on saloons. Front seats fit fine.

rear seat can be fitted but you will aslo need the cab rear side cards and some mods to your rear parcel shelf, not too difficult to do.

front seats will also not recline - not so good for the ladies winkeye

IIRC, the only difference in the reclining mechanism is a couple of removable plastic blocks fitted to those in the cab to restrict their movement.

brian as always you do remember correctly!!

the cab and coupe seats are exactly the same, cabs cannot fully recline backwards as they would hit the rear crossbrace, so they are limited, unless you spend a lot of time in car parks with young ladies typically from the Essex area or sleep in your car you will not notice any difference, as Brian says these can be removed which is a ten minute job, but you will probably not bother.

I removed the plastic blocks from sport seats with a narrow screwdriver and a mallet. They split real easy and just pop out. Only need to remove the plastic trim and tilt seat forward

Cab trim in a tintop is the height of council activity and very wrong. If you must have a nasty beige trim, buy a correct coupe specific trim and then sell your own.

you will need the rear side panels, these are a different shape to the coupe as they stick into the car more as the cab has its folding mechanism behind part of this panel.

to swap the coupe and cab rear side panels should not be too hard, but you must remove the seat belt straps, not sure if they are torx bolts, basically remove the front door rubbers, remove the speaker panel to find the screws plus the one visible once the rear bench is removed then lift the whole panel upwards. it should fit in the coupe with little fuss but you will now find the rear parcel shelf does not match, you cannot use the horseshoe as its metal and will not fit, instead you must modify or replace the rear parcel shelf, but as its only thin chipboard covered in carpet this should not be too hard, but i am inclined to agree with pete on this look for a coupe specific trim or have yours retrimmed.

I would have thought the wide rear door cards would look pretty good...

Suppose all the matching up needed takes abit of work all the same to get it look prefect, If your getting the leather for a straight swap for you own seats, I couldn't see any harm in it though...

You can always sell on the leather later on to a cab owner when it's looking all nice again while you keep a look out for M3 leathers in beige, They are out there 8)
