Help anyone?? I have just brought a E30 325i sport for cheap because its miss-firing. previous owner said he done a service and changed the leads, plugs, dizzy car and rotor arm. since doing that its had a miss-fire. so was wondering if he has put leads on wrong on the dizzy cap. so can anyone tell me which lead goes to which bit on the cap?? :?

This page might help you figure it out:

http://e30world.com/ignition/BMW-E30-di ... tor-change

In particular:

"You can always check for correct installation since the ignition firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 and terminals on the distributor cap have a label. That means that spark plug wire from cylinder 1 goes to the terminal cap labeled 1 (cylinders are numbered sequentially with cylinder number 1 being closest to the front of the car)."

Take a look at the pics too though.
