I want one too. What paint do you use, and how do you get the polished detail afterwards?

Best bet is to find yourself a spare, get it painted up, swop with your normal one, then paint that one too and sell it on e-bay for a bomb

Any heat resistant paint will do (I used BBQ paint) depending on what finish you want (personally prefer matt black) and then use a sanding block to rub the raised areas down.

Is VHT the one which give an almost charcoal grey appearance, with a textured finish? Do you need to use primer? Where do you buy it?

its almost black but not quite, and yes a textured finish as well,

i bought it from a local car place called Marks Autos

cost 7quid

it doesn`t need a primer but you could you one if you wanted to.

Its pretty easy to do.

Sand and polish the letter before painting
mask the letters
spray
Use thinners to remove over spray
Finish with wet & dry then a bit of chrome polish

I use high temp black wrinkle paint.

It took at least an hour of heavy sanding to get the letters and lines on mine polished up properly as they had 16 years of dirt and oil stained into them.
Masked them off and then sprayed with high temp paint and a very light coating of Hammerite satin black as to give a nicer finish as the other stuff was too dull.
Heres a pic:

All looking great guys!

Sorry to keep asking daft questions:
I can't find bloody wrinkle paint anywhere, looked in 4 shops today.
How do you mask up the intricate letters and lines? Masking tape and then cut it out with a craft blade?
