I voted for clear as that's what my baby is wearing
Even better get some of those silver bulbs to avoid the 'fried egg' effect.
Cheers,

Player, yr smoked lenses look
, mine have an orange layer behind them, so it looks like they just been hand sprayed.

If they're the MHW items, the orange lens is easily removed, and they look a whole load better! You will need to fit some orange bulbs though.Wilson wrote:Player, yr smoked lenses look![]()

What do you all think of the new rear lenses which are white above red (or t'other way around) like the pug 106?
Never seen a set on and can't decide whether they would look cack
My tourer is costing me too much to treat it to new lights just now, but I'll be getting clears when I do.......

Excellent I'll ave a look, and poss get som of them silver / orange bulbs, are they easy to get hold off, any normal motor store should have them right??Simon wrote:If they're the MHW items, the orange lens is easily removed, and they look a whole load better! Yes mate, but I've always found it difficult to find the correct 180 degree pin bulbs, they always seem to supply the offset pin bulbs, they will still fit OK, just file down one pin.Wilson wrote:Excellent I'll ave a look, and poss get som of them silver / orange bulbs, are they easy to get hold off, any normal motor store should have them right??Simon wrote:If they're the MHW items, the orange lens is easily removed, and they look a whole load better! No I dont have the bulbs, but you'd probably want to buy some Philips silver vision bulbs anyway to avoid the fried egg look, rather than use the orange ones that you get with indicator kits
Found the lenses, theyre made by Depo and very transparent

I agree with you in away... When I had my old S1 RST, although it was highly modded engine wise, I wanted the looks to be as original as poss, so I dumped the clears that were on it when I bought it and bought orange ones for that. my mates couldn't understand why, but I thought it was much better!320Touring wrote:gotta be orange mate-they're made that way for a reason.........
But for my 325i i feel different, its not a rare model, its hardly spotless etc.. maybe if it was a genuine rare model E30 I would prob keep original!!!!
