First post - been wandering the web for ages and finally happened across you lot.
I've got some surplus cash burning a very large hole in pocket and have been debating what to spend it on.
Decided to hang onto my bike (BMW GS) rather than replace it and am looking at an e30 as they have far more appeal than any later BMs.
As it's going to be a second car, I'm looking for something that is fun, wild and interesting - so I've found myself looking at M3s - or maybe even an M3 conv or possibly even a 325 Motorsport conv(as there seem to be more of them available).
Just wondering about values, what's a reasonable price? And what should I be looking out for?
I'd rather pay a bit more for a good one, than save a few Ԛ£00s on something that will then need attention.
Thanks
P

Hi mate
An M3 can range from Ԛ£4500-Ԛ£8000 really, convertibles are a bit more posier than a real driving car, 325 motorsport convertible is the lesser of the 3.

thanks Jimbob
I reckon that a poserish M3 conv would still be a good enough drive to cope with most roads well, surely?
When/if I want to be "irresponsible" in the eyes of the BiB, I usually do it on my bike.

For sure! Check the For Sale section for some examples as there's 2 or 3 (including convertible) currently up for sale/auction.snodog wrote:I reckon that a poserish M3 conv would still be a good enough drive to cope with most roads well, surely?

Maybe you wanna ask yourself what are you going to it use for?
Track days = M3.
Just cruising = 325i.
You talk a lot about convertibles.
If you just want your new second car for cruising during sunny weather then go for a 325 convertible.
