Hello all,im new.
I dont know why its taken me this long to get on here,my bad.
I havent had one for a few yrs as ive been distracted by other fruits,(e36 M3,911,944,Skyline GTR,E28s ect..)I now see the error of my ways and will soon get another.I cant believe how prices have gone up,(i used to pay 500-800 for a sport!) i think if i dont get one soon i will miss the chance as i believe prices could follow the mk1/2 escort route!
Since the age of 18 i have owned many e30's,all six pots, and had wanted one for many years before that.
Srarting with a red 83 2 door with a 3.3 conversion,(a bloody handfull at that age!) the car had a dogleg box and LSD this car had been resprayed zinobar red. - NYC???Y
Then a Daytona violet 323i 2 door,amazing paint job,originally black,BBS split rims,very low,de chromed red rear lenses,euro look.-A463CBL?- real beauty.
The next was a 325I sport tec 1 with a tec 2 Kit in dolphin grey with black electric leather(manual)
-B5HYD
Then-Lachs silver 325i 2 door,17" azev As,manual,E???tug
Then an alpine white white 4door,chromie,15" bbs(with BBS centres),lowerd 50mm,Recaro interior,tec 1 s/wheel & g.knob, -C34LGJ
Then a white 2 door sport, wont go into detail as it was written off.
I realy believe the 80's sports bmw's (E21,E30,E28,E24) were the best mass production cars ever made and im upset every time i see one in a breakers, the good news is as the prices rise less are being scrapped or fitted with nasty bodykits ect...There is somthing about these cars no other car can duplicate, somthing that makes me warm inside every time i travell in one.
Feel lucky if you own one as anybody who knows what they are looking at is envious.(including me) and if you know the wearabouts of any of the above please PM me.
Regards,
Gavin the sumpcracker.

Yep, It was originally henna red and was re-sprayed,it was one if the first made and came with a 320 logbook which clearly wasn't for that car! (was more than likely ringed but when your 18....)
It had no site repeaters and was a chromy. It had an electric roof,c/locking,computer...No power steering though.
Ive allways wonderd if it was a home build or a propper alpina or 333I with dodgy past.
It was full of rare bits, but not worth much 10yrs ago..
such as- dogleg box, Lsd, alpina cam cover ,alpina clocks, tec 1 rear spoiler, hartge front spoiler, 5 stud hartge wheels(which were bent and were changed for bbs, hartge 4 spoke s/wheel,propper recaro's(better than sport type)
A six branch exhaust,Looked like an alpina item-not sure,The front was badged hartge and the rear alpina!!!
The car was quite rotten and has probably turned into spares/re shell.I can tell you it was rapid and must have had a very spikey cam as it had a crap idle and was flat below 3500rpm- after that it was fast.
I payed £650 for it! and my mates were trying to catch it in astra gte's and r5 turbos, but they dont do 140+mph up hill with 4 people in! (just thought-with the mix n match diff, box and wheels the speedo was probably over a bit)

ZAUST - Thanks, and yes im well hooked
E30 TURBO - My cousins car is silver and he is- big power wanabe(i think)
ALEX - That is a bit upsetting considering thr love i gave them, the purple one must be in storage as it was an absolute minter. Thanks for checking.
- I rememberd the reg for the 3.3- A819NYC- that is dead as well, this doesn't surprise me as it was rusty 8-10 years ago and the parts are now worth a fortune.I wish I had kept this and re-shelled it with the purple one,its going to take years for me to build another one like that....
