I would assume poor running. As in running rich or lean.
Your not getting the kangarooing are you?

Could be anything actually then, no warning lights? Too many electrics for my liking.
Was wondering what you were getting at, I had the kangarooing in my 2.8L a local BMW (modern and older) 'spechialeest' insisted it was the AFM despite my car having a MAF conversion which I informed him of before diagnosis commenced. Needless to say I didn't leave him with the keys and left pronto.

get a diagnostic done Erel, I'd go for camshaft sensor on the inlet as its VERY common on the M54 engines, other favorites are failed zyclon valve in the CC Breather pulling in unmetered air, easy enough to diagnose either way.
dead MAF will cause poor MPG and lack of performance as the car will run off the 02 sensor feedback during loaded conditions

Cheers Ant... thats exactly what im getting mate, BIG lack of performance!!! no warning lights on dash etc... i thought that with all these sensors, as soon as something goes wrong the EML light would show !!
The other annoying thing is that the condition doesnt change during a drive, however the car decides to start up, thats how she runs !
Will a diagnostic scan show anything without a EML ?

a diagnostic scan will show ANYTHING, regardless of a light on or not. You might be better off going to a dealers too, as a few of the guys at my place have got their own scanners (SUN, Solus, Mac, Snap-on, etc) and they never read 100% of the faults right, and at £150 approx. for a sensor, you're gonna wanna get it right first time
