Just tell me so i kick myself, but did you have the door looms already or did you just plug it in and off it went?
As all the cars i've had with it have had a heated door lock also

If the car has heated mirrors, it will also have heated washer jets and drivers door lock.

All the E30 will be getting for Christmas is petrol. It's just had uprated headlight bulbs and will be getting a suspension overhaul in the New Year (It's too ba$tardly cold to be farting about with cars at the moment).
The E36 is getting a new key.

Not getting any E30 related chrimbo stuff, but the car will be getting the Hottuning 6 branch, and a Z3 1.9 quickshift fitted by myself. Got to be better than watching another re run of Zulu and the Great Escape.
